Tender Care and Shaping for Young Minds

It started in 1996 with 19 students. Imparting all round education in English medium to the girl children of extremely poor families is the mission.

The vision is to build an institution that will transform girl children in the villages into self-reliant women who will make a mark in their lives.

Today it has 565 students. It is a CBSE affiliated school till Class XII.

The students are the first generation in their family line to receive education.

The school also has a residential facility - the first such residential facility in an area like Bankura. The residential facility has attracted students from various places on account of the quality of education and the healthy and serene atmosphere of the school in the Math premises. Students from economically able families are provided admissions to make the finances of the school and the charitable activities sustainable to the limited extent that they can.

The day scholars are mostly from BPL (Below Poverty Line) families. The residential facility is also extended to students from far flung villages as commuting daily to the school is not feasible. The rural development programs of the Math bring it in touch with people form numerous villages. Meritorious students from such villages do not have access to quality education and also lack the affordability for quality education. Such students are brought into the school and housed in the residential facility.

The light of education reaches these families, at least a generation ahead.

Sources of Funds for the school:

“Love is my capital” is the founder’s message. Selfless service and dedication of the Math has brought in the heartiest cooperation of the well-wishers in the society. The school has grown from its 19 student kindergarten start to its current form with the help of donations and voluntary services of well-wishers.
